2021-22 Game Character Animation
A few animations I worked on in my game animation class last semester. I worked in Maya using a mixamo rig. I also imported and set up the animations for the gas mask guard in Unreal to create a player ready character with functioning animations. These include a crouching idle, a crawl, jump, a knife attack, kick attack, and an upper knee jab attack. It was a bit frustrating since the Mixamo rig felt slightly limited but I think I gave my model some good character regardless.

THE DUST EATERS
2021
This project is an original short I recently finished using Unreal Engine for my virtual production class. I utilized Unreal's Meerkat Demo, editing the animations and rebuilding the environment using the asset packs provided. I also used the Wraith Paragon character, retargeting the skeleton and mashing animations together with Mocap Basics and Mixamo animations. A lot of the other assets came from the Old Brick House asset pack as well. The sounds came from free source sites and although I tried my hand at some voice acting for the shots with dialogue, I just couldn't keep from cringing at hearing my own voice so I settled for captions. Overall though, I just love working in Unreal and making projects like this.
2021: Blade Runner: Previz
This was another animation I worked on for my Virtual Production class. The instructor provided us with pre animated characters and audio based off of the original Blade Runner intro scene. I created and lit an environment in Unreal Engine and directed the scene. I utilized the Soul Cave environment from unreal and other assets that came with the Blade Runner asset pack provided to the class. Everything from lighting to camera directing was so cool. I had so much fun with this assignment and really liked working in Unreal.

THE TRAVELING BOX
2020| Animatic
In my class, Principles of Animation, I was prompted with the task of creating an animatic with a generic sequence of events. This included a character walking into a room, finding a box, and reacting to it. The main objective was to consider screen direction, anticipation/arcs, camera angles (low angles, high angles), depth cues, positive and negative spaces, diagonals, horizontals, verticals, and mixing shots (establish, medium or full body, close-ups).
BDD AWARENESS
2020| Animatic
An animatic I worked on as a personal creative project.Â
Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) is a mental illness that has always been around, but only
recently have people begun to research, understand, and advocate about it. Although BDD is relatively common, it’s regularly underdiagnosed, because those with the disorder are often reluctant to disclose their appearance concerns.
